Staff in the community development area work with various groups in the community, and the population as a whole, to meet the social and cultural needs of the shire. We encourage cooperation and partnership between various service providers across the broader Monaro region and provide support to a range of community groups and agencies.

Staff also support the development of networks and positive links between community members through specific projects which aim to build community and cultural awareness.

Snowy Mountains Neighbourhood Centre (SMNC)
