Council is a partner in the Monaro Regional Library and Information Service which is a joint operation between Bombala, Cooma-Monaro Shire and Snowy River Shires. The Library has been serving the residents and visitors to the Monaro and Snowy Mountains areas since 1963 and the main branch is located in Cooma.

A mobile library operates from February to Christmas every year and makes regular visits to Jindabyne. Adsaminaby and Berridale. Exact locations and operating hours can be viewed at http://www.monaro.nsw.gov.au/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=49&Itemid=61.
